BCT Guiding Documents, one of the largest Dutch players on the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market, will go by the name 'BCT' from this time on. The company started under this name in 1985, but decided to adapt the name to the changing activities and areas over the years. From November 2, the original name 'BCT' will again make its appearance, complemented with the pay-off 'Partners for Value'.

Marketing manager Marc Charlier explains the change of name: 'We see the market in which we operate is changing ever faster. BCT prides itself on the company is able to respond quickly and efficiently to those changes, and we therefore believe that the company has to convey that flexibility, including our name. The name 'Guiding Documents' reflected our past activities in a good way. However, for some time BCT has much more to offer than just leading and guiding documents through the organization. Hence we have found a name that better covers the current load.'

BCT emphasizes two of its core values with its new pay-off, 'partner' and 'value'. A good cooperation with others has become increasingly important for BCT. Projects are becoming larger and more complex and BCT sees the success of its products hinges on close cooperation with various parties. Charlier: 'Change Management is a key to the implementation of many of our solutions. Both sides must understand the existence of the old and new situation. A proper interpretation of the needs is not possible without a good cooperation with our customers.' In addition the new pay-off highlights the importance of good cooperation with partners in the domestic and foreign market; parties for which BCT also wants to be a 'partner for value' of course.

With the addition of the term 'value' BCT indicates that ECM applications and especially ECM solutions in recent years have taken a huge flight. Moreover the value of such systems for organizations has increased significantly. "First, such systems were purely focused on some specific departments and department secretaries; now, you will find them default on almost everyone's desktop,' said Marc Charlier. An ECM system allows the user to quickly find the right information and to approach and process it in the most efficient way. 'We have gone from manual to automated, and from departmental to an organization-wide focused system. This will save organizations a lot of time, and thus brings a high added value.'

To add force to the new motto, BCT has achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for quality management systems. With this certification BCT has put a management system in use as a tool to systematically ensure and improve the quality of the business processes and therefore the business.

With the ISO 9001:2008 certification, which was given by the internationally renowned agency Veritas, the Dutch company wants to emphasize that it is a reliable partner of high added value in the field of enterprise content management, as well in the domestic as in the foreign market.
