A successful result: over 80% of 1.5 million documents were automatically classified!
Energy company Essent chooses CORSA/Automatic Document Recognition: the solutions for automatic recognition and classification. Essent wants to unlock unstructured content efficiently.
“The standard letter book is constantly changing and this will need to be taken into account during the digitalisation and classification of incoming mail”, Says Jack Kradolfer, Documentary Information Supply Manager at Essent. In 2004 it was decided to centralise all the mailroom facilities. Up until then, mail was being processed at seventeen different locations. This number was reduced to two. In addition, the delivery of physical mail was a cause of delay on account of the fact that Essent employees work mobile throughout the Essent locations. The vast majority of other document flows were already available digitally; stored and unlocked by means of the CORSA document management system produced by BCT Guiding Documents. After being digitalised, the postal items concerned had to be registered and stored in the same system.
“Alternative solutions were not as flexible as CORSA/ADR. The self-learning capacity of CORSA/ADR enables us to quickly meet the wishes of the internal customer. This allows us to offer a better quality as a mailroom”, according to Kradolfer.
