For 70 years, KRO has been making programmes that have influenced society in the Netherlands. An innovative media organisation that operates from the catholic perspective and that also arranges the programmes that are broadcast during the radio and television broadcasting time allocated to the Rooms Katholiek Kerkgenootschap (RKK – Roman Catholic Denomination).

In recent years, public broadcasting has been subject to many changes, although not all of the proposed plans have been executed. Cost-saving schemes have become commonplace. At the AKN, there had been plans for some time to digitize the invoice flows, to be able to work more efficiently and to realise savings. In Hilversum, Henk van Boeijen (financial controller at KRO Beheer) and Han Higler (manager financial affairs at AKN) are closely involved in the implementation of CORSA/INVOICE. Wim Verloop (independent IT-consultant at, among others, the Publieke Omroep) is closely involved in the project in his capacity as project leader.

CORSA/INVOICE came into the picture. CORSA/INVOICE is one of the most advanced software solutions for the automated processing and monitoring of the entire incoming invoice handling process. INVOICE offers clear, measurable efficiency benefits. In addition, the solution can be interfaced to many different vertical financial systems (including Exact, CODA, Decade, Tobias, Unit4Agresso, SAP, FIS4all, Finall and MFG/Pro).

Two different software packages and two separate organisations, KRO and RKK that had to be connected to the new system in a business sector, that is in itself special. At the minimum a challenging situation. More than just being immune to stress, BCT also demonstrated that it had the flexibility required to cooperate.

CORSA/INVOICE has been operational at KRO and RKK since February 2006. At the moment there are more than one hundred users. And the results are already visible: received invoices no longer get lost, (risky) copies of invoices no longer get processed, any duplicated invoices are detected and the risk of erroneously recording invoices is reduced to more or less zero.

The KRO has been making programmes for 80 years. It is a dynamic organisation that by choosing to use CORSA/INVOICE has given a tremendous quality impulse to the supporting financial process associated with realising its programmes.
